I'm back! Bad news! (Please Read)

Lets all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the Great Oak. *Rockstar rapidly licks a front paw and swipes it over her ear twice. Clan gathers at the foot of the rock.* I am glad to be back and I have missed you all very dearly and I know that Leopardpelt watched over you while I was gone. *She dips her head to her deputy. The clan calls out welcoming comments to Rockstar. She flicks her tail to signal silence.* I have shared tongues with StarClan and they have sent me dreams. Rough times are ahead. Leaf-bare is here and the prey is running scarce *Rockstar twitched her ear towards the snow-covered ground and the almost-empty fresh kill pile.* and we have the threat of DeathClan, ThiefClan and BloodClan. *The clan gasped and murmured among themselves. Rockstar let them quiet down on their own time.* The apprentices will be asked to hunt and patrol the borders more as well as the warriors. The days ahead will be rough, but our Clan is strong and will overcome any obstacle that stands in their way. OakClan! *Rockstar yowled* OakClan! OakClan! *The Clan joined in.* We will have new apprentices soon, as Featherear's kits are nearing six moons old. Silverpaw and Emberpaw are about ready to be made warriors. Although Silverpaw has only trained as an apprentice for 3 moons and Emberpaw has only trained for 2 moons, they will become warriors soon because we have doubled our training sessions and our apprentices are working harder. We will continue the vigorous training sessions along with having our apprentices strengthen the camp walls, go on hunting patrols more times a day, patrol the borders and remark the scents more often and guard the camp day and night. We have quite a few apprentices so it will not be as hard on them. Spottedstorm, you will take a border patrol to the river to renew the scent markings. You can take Dovepaw, Fuzzyfern and Whitepaw. Tigeroak you can leada hunting patrol and Whiteheart you can lead another. Tigeroak you can take Briarpaw and Whitenose and Whiteheart, you can take Shadowpool and Jaggedfang. Russetpaw will guard the camp from sunset until moonhigh. Silverpaw can take over from moonhigh until dawn. Crystalpaw will guard the camp from dawn until moonhigh. Sparrowkit, Icekit and Violetkit will tend to the elders today and Tigeroak will be in charge of making sure it gets done correctly. Emberpaw will bring fresh kill around to the nursery, elder's den and medicine cats' den. The rest of the apprentices can train with their mentors this evening. I would like Leopardpelt, Pebblesong and Hawkthorn and their apprentices, Scorchpaw, Blizzardpaw and Brindlepaw to strengthen the camp walls and dens with branches, twigs, anything you can find. Now, off you all go. We have long, cold moons ahead of us.

I'm leaving! (Please read)

Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Great Oak. *Clan gathers, curiosity on their faces.* I have called you all here today because times are getting tougher as we learn that BloodClan and DeathClan have been scented on our side of the river. I must travel to Highstones to share tongues with StarClan. I will leave with Tigeroak and Emberpaw at dawn tomorrow and I will be back the following day after sunhigh. *Shocked murmurs broke out over the gathered cats.* What if DethClan and ThiefClan or BloodClan attack us while you're gone? *Tigerstripe was the first to speak up. Rockstar nodded, she could understand why they were upset.* Leopardpelt will be in charge while I'm gone. If they attack, you will have him to guide you into battle. You are all strong warriors and those of you that are apprentices are still learning but coming along very nicely and will make fine warriors yourselves soon. This journey will also be for Emberpaw's benefit because all apprentices must make the journey to Highstones before they can become apprentices. And don't think I've forgotten about the rest of you, Silverpaw will be next to make the journey. I wish I could stay, but this is something that I must do! I know Leopardpelt, as my deputy, will take care of this strong Clan while I'm gone. *With a dip of her head, she added* Meeting dismissed.

More Ceremonies

Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Grat Oak. *Clan gathers* You all know that there are three rogues here from DeathClan. *angry yowls came up from the Clan at the mention of DeathClan. Rockstar signaled with her tail for silence* They were kicked out when ThiefClan joined DeathClan because two of them are halfclan cats and one is a kittypet. I have spoken with my deputy, one of my senior warriors and my head warrior and we have come to a conclusion. Tigerstripe, Shadowpool and Frostpelt may stay in our Clan. They will be a great advantage. Frostfur will provide us with kits in a moon or so, and they may know what DeathClan and ThiefClan's plan of attack is. They may also know some weak points of their previous clan. *The Clan mutter among themselves, nodding their heads in aggreement.* So, Frostpelt will stay in the nursery since she will be kitting soon, Tigerstripe and Shadowpool can join the warriors in the Warriors' Den.

Frostpelt! Frostpelt! Tigerstripe! Tigerstripe! Shadowpool! Shadowpool!

Mudpelt please step forward. It is you wish to retire from your place as a warrior and join this Clan as an elder.

It is

Then may StarClan thank you for all that you have done and grant you many seasons of rest.

Mudpelt! Mudpelt!

Emergency meeting

Leopardpelt, Hawkthorn and Tigeroak please report to my den immediately. We need to discuss some things.

Rogues

*Rockstar tracks a mouse, stalks it, pounces and swiftly kills it. She hears the scuffling among the leaves and quickly crouches among the brambles. She hears crackly meows and then a black she-cat appeared from the bushes, followed by an orange striped tom and a gray and white she-cat that looked as if she were carrying a litter. Rockstar hissed and came out from her hiding place in the brambles. The group shied away from the muscular leader.* Please don't hurt us.  *The orange tom said.* What are you doing on OakClan territory? *Rockstar challenged them.* We are rogues. We do not mean to harm you or anything. We were members of DeathClan until they joined with Thiefclan and kicked us out because we were halfclan cats and Frostpelt, *the orange tabby signaled with his head toward the gray and white she-cat* used to be a kittypet. Please, can you except us into your clan? We shall hunt for our own food and your clan. Please! We need a home. *Rockstar nodded her head* Come with me.

Mousetail's news

Thank you all for gathering. I have some good news. I am going to bear a new litter of kits. They should arrive in late leaf-bare. (It's currently leaf-fall) *Mousetail announces after the clan gathers in the center of the clearing.* That's great news Mousetail! I'm sure your kits will become great warriors along with your last litter, Scorchpaw and Russetpaw. *Rockstar replies*

New apprentices

Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the Great Oak. *Clan gather* I have called you here today for a ceremony. Scorchkit, Russetkit please step forward. *The excited kits step forward.* I, Rockstar, leader of OakClan, call upon my my warrior ancestors to look down on these kits. They will be made apprentices today at your approval. Scorchkit, Russetkit, your six moons of kithood have passed. Scorchkit, until you receive your warrior name, you will be know as Scorchpaw. Leopardpelt, please step forward. You have trained many successful warriors and it is time you took on another one. I am sure you will pass on your knoweledge and loyalty to this young apprentice. You will be mentor to Scorchkit. *Leopardpelt dips his head respectfully, touches noses with his new apprentice and pads over to the edge of the group, his apprentice at his heels.* Russetkit, until you recieve your warrior name, you will be known as Russetpaw. Jaggedfang, please step forward. Your last apprentice is now a very successful warrior and it is time fro you to take on another apprentice. Please pass your knoweledge and courage on to this young apprentice. Jaggedfang, you will mentor Russepaw. *Jaggedfang dips his head and touches noses with his apprentice.*

Clan Meeting

Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneath the Great Oak for a Clan meenting. *Clan gathers* I have called you here today to discuss a young apprentice who is ready to become a medicine cat. Lightpaw and Runningclover left this morning to go to Highstones to share dreams with StarClan. When they return, Lightpaw will be know as Lightfrost. StarClan honors her kindness. She has cared for the Clan well. Meeting dismissed.

Full Moon Gathering

*Rockstar yowls from the thick branch of the Great Oak. The Clan gathers beneath the Great Oak, curiosity on their faces.* "I have waited a little too long to discuss this with you. Those who went to the last gathering know what I'm going to say. We have made enemies with DeathClan and ThiefClan. They are allies and want to join together to rule the forest. We declined the offer in a heartbeat! It's outrageous! The reason I have waited so long to tell you is because I needed time to think and discuss this with my deputy. I expect that they will attack some time close to the next gathering. We need more warriors! We will need to train our apprentices faster and our kits, if their mother and I think their ready, will become apprentices as soon as their six moons old. In the past, I have waited longer because I wanted to make sure they were absolutely ready, but times are getting hard and we have the threat of two big, strong Clans. All mentors can take their apprentices out twice a day unless they have other Clan duties to attend. There will be more border patrols and they will be larger, four or five cats. Kits are forbidden to leave camp. Apprentices must have at least one warrior with them. And no warrior can go out alone, they must have another warrior or an apprentice with them. No queens or elders are aloud outside the camp without at least two warriors with them. Since we just came back from fighting I want you all to rest, I will guard the camp until moonhigh then Pinefur will take over until dawn. At dawn Jaggedfang will guard the camp until sunhigh. I will tell you who will make up the other patrols tomorrow. All mentors, take their apprentices out at dawn and then again at sunset. One training, the apprentices will hunt and the next they will practice fighting skills. Whitenose, Mudpelt, Leopardpelt and I will take up the dawn patrol, Emberpaw will go with us. Tigeroak can you lead a hunting patrol tomorrow before sunhigh? Take Briarpaw and Jaggedfang. Now, everyone eat and then get some rest!"

New Warriors

*Rockstar pads into the clearing her deputy by her side, followed by her warriors, apprentices and medicine cat. They had just returned from fighting alongside StormClan and DawnClan to drive ThiefClan out of the DawnClan camp. She swiftly climbs the Great Oak and, aside from her drowsiness, calls a clan meeting.* "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the Great Oak." *Clan gathers. Whitepaw sits at the base of the Great Oak, shivering with excitement, his mentor, Fuzzyfern, at his side. *Today we fought a long, hard battle. You all fought well but I saw one cat in particular that fought with a more determination and loyalty than any cat could have ever expected of this young apprentice. And i would like the other apprentices to know that their time to be made full warriors will be soon so don't think I'm not watching you. Whitepaw, please come forward. You are ready to become a warrior." *Rockstar watches the young apprentice take a step forward.* "I, Rockstar, leader of OakClan call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code and I present him to you as a warrior in his turn. Whitepaw, do you promise to defend and protect your clan even at the cost of your life?"

"I do"

"Then by the powers of StarClan I grant you your warrior name. Whitepaw, you will now be known as Whiteheart. StarClan honors you bravery and loyalty."

*The Clan raises their heads towards StarClan and shouts* "Whiteheart! Whiteheart!"

Medicine cat herbs and berries

Medicine Cat Herbs
Borage Leaves - To be chewed and eaten. The plant can be distinguished by its small blue or pink star-shaped flowers and hairy leaves. Great for nursing queens as it helps increase their supply of milk. It also brings down fever.
Burdock Root - A tall-stemmed, sharp-smelling thistle with dark leaves. A medicine cat must dig up the roots, wash off the dirt, and chew them into a pulp, which can be applied to rat bites. It also cures infection.
Catmint (catnip) - A delicious-smelling, leafy plant that is hard to find in the wild: often found growing in Twoleg gardens. It is the best remedy for greencough.
Chervil - A sweet-smelling plant with large, spreading, fernlike leaves and small white flowers. The juice of the leaves can be used for infected wounds, and chewing the roots helps with bellyache.

Dock - A plant similar to sorrel. The leaf can be chewed up and applied to soothe scratches.
Dried Oak Leaf - Collected in the autumn and stored in a dry place. It is used to stop infection.
Feverfew - A small bush with flowers like daisies. The leaves can be eaten to cool down body temperature, particularly with cats with fever or chills.
Goldenrod - A tall plant with bright yellow flowers. a poultice of this is great for healing wounds.
Honey - A sweet, golden liquid created by bees. Difficult to collect without being stung, but great for soothing infections or the throats of cats who have breathed smoke.
Horsetail - A tall plant with bristly stems that grows in marshy areas. The leaves can be used to treat infected wounds. Usually chewed up and applied as a poultice.
Juniper Berries - A bush with spiky, dark green leaves and purple berries. The berries soothe bellyaches and help cats who are having trouble breathing.
Lavender - A small purple flowering plant. It is good for curing fever.
Marigold - A bright orange or yellow flower that grows low to the ground. The petals or leaves can be chewed up into a pulp and applied as a poultice to wounds. It also stops infection.
Mouse Bile - A bad-smelling liquid that is the only remedy for ticks. Dab a little bit of moss soaked in bile on a tick and it'll fall right off. Be sure to wash your paws thoroughly in running water afterwards.
Poppy Seed - Small, black seeds shaken from a dried poppy flower, these are fed to cats to help them sleep. It soothes cats suffering from shock and distress. It is not recommended for nursing queens.
Stinging Nettle - The spiny, green seeds can be administered to a cat who's swallowed poison, while the leaves can be applied to a wound to bring down swelling.
Tansy - A strong-smelling plant with round, yellow flowers. It is good for curing coughs, but it must be eaten it small doses.
Thyme - This herb can be eaten to calm anxiety and frayed nerves.
Watermint - A leafy, green plant found in streams or damp earth. It is usually chewed into a pulp and then fed to a cat suffering bellyache.
Wild Garlic - Rolling in a patch of wild garlic can help prevent infection, especially for dangerous wounds like rat bites.
Yarrow - A flowering plant whose leaves can be made into a poultice and applied to wounds or scratches to expel poison. It is also used to clean the interior of a cat from poison.
*NOTE*:
Deathberries - Red berries that can be fatally poisonous to kits and elders. They are NOT a medicine. They are known to Twolegs as yew berries. BEWARE OF DEATHBERRIES!!!

Leaders' Den

New Litter

*When the group returned with fresh-kill clamped between their jaws, they were greeted by a big ruckus outside of the nursery. Rockstar dropped her fresh kill on the fresh kill pile and went to see what was going on. Four kittens were sleeping with their mother. Rockstar immediately greeted Nettlebrook with a nuzzle. Nettlebrook looked tired as her kits nursed. * "I shall name these kits. The orange she-cat shall be called Sunkit. The lighter gray  tom laying down shall be called Ashkit, the gray striped tom standing up shall be called Coalkit. The brown tom sleeping shall be called Brackenkit. Good job Netttlebrook. You delivered a litter of healthy kits. I'm sure they will grow up to be the best warriors in the forrest." *Rockstar nuzzled each tiny kit and left the den so that the others could see the new kits.*

Border Patrol

*Rockstar gathers up the Noon patrol. Nettlebrook, Emberpaw and Rockstar leave camp and head toward the Oak Waterfall near the Rocky Oak River.* Ok Emberpaw, what do you smell? *Emberpaw raises her head into the air and drinks in the air.* I smell... water vole... and mouse and... hmmm... FOX! *She screamed in alarm. Rockstar raises her head and drinks in the air.* Quick everyone hide under the brambles! *She whispered. They heard a rustling in the bushes and peek out of their hiding spot to see a young fox scuffling among the leaves.* Emberpaw, go back to camp and get Tigeroak, Jaggedfang, Leopardpelt and Mudpelt. Hurry! *Rockstar hissed urgently. Emberpaw nodded and dashed off through the undergrowth silently. She returned some time later with the four warriors Rockstar had requested.* We must chase it away before it gets one of our kits or harms us. The mother could be lurking around somewhere. Rockstar and Tigeroak slowly creeped out of the brambles and stood a few tail-lengths away from the fox. It's head shot up at the sight of the cats. It crouched low onto the ground and hissed menacingly. Rockstar and Tigeroak hissed back, taking a few steps forward. The fox stood its ground. Leopardpelt came out of the undergrowth some tail lengths to the right with Emberpaw at her side. Heartbeats later, Jaggedfang and Mudpelt came out of the bushes to the left of Rockstar. hey joined together and hissed at the fox in unison. They took a few steps forward, bringing them only two tail-lengths away from the fow. The fox gave one last hiss and ran off in the direction of the border. The five warriors and apprentice chased after the fox to make sure it left OakClan territory.* We will have to keep an eye on this border to make sure it doesn't come back. Good work! *On the way back to camp, the group hunted.*

Emberpaw's training

*Rockstar and Emberpaw exit through the gorse tunnel, Rockstar leading the way. When they reached the training hollow, Rockstar sat down in the warm sand and licked a paw.*
"Today were going to work on your fighting skills. Attack me." Rockstar placed her neatly groomed paw on the soft sand and waited for Emberpaw to attack her. Emberpaw's eyes went from one side of Rockstar to the next and finally rested on Rockstar's left side. When she bounded towards Rockstar, Rockstar easily dodged to the right as Emberpaw dove in the air and landed on all fours. She had missed her target by a tail-length. Rockstar swiftly shoved her paw under Emberpaw and swiped Emberpaw's feet out from under her. she landed on the ground with a loud thud. She quickly go to her feet, disappointment painted on her pace.
"You weren't fast enough and I knew exactly where you were going to attack me at. If I had been an enemy, you wouldn't have had a chance. now try again, but this time be faster and don't let me know where your going to attack at." Rockstar braced herself as Emberpaw put distance between them and prepared to attack. She looked Rockstar in the eye and charged. Rockstar had less time to dodge her. Emberpaw aimed for her ear and caught it with a sheathed paw. She landed on Rockstar's back. Rockstar wriggled out from underneath her sheathed paws quickly, leaving her on the ground.
"Way to go! that was much better! Attack me again." Emberpaw prepared herself and charged. This time when she reached Rockstar she raised her front paws in the air and longed forward. Rockstar had just enough time to defend herself. She slid swiftly under Emberpaw, knocking her back legs out from under her. She quickly stood up and groomed a dusty paw.
"How'd you do that!?" Emberpaw asked admiringly. Rockstar explained the move to Emberpaw and Emberpaw tried it, easily succeeding and knocking Rockstar onto the ground.
"Good job. That's enough for today. I want you to take Brindlepaw and Hawkthorn and go hunting. I will come too." Rockstar ordered.

Clan Meeting

*As the sun crept up over the horizon, Rockstar bunches her muscles and leaps onto the thick branch of the Great Oak.*
"All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Great Oak for a Clan meeting."
*Clan gathers beneath the Great Oak. Dovekit, Crystalkit and Briarkit sat on either side of their mother, Fuzzyfern, at the base of the Great Oak.*
"We gather today to recognize three young kits who are ready to be made apprentices." *With a glance at Dovekit, Crystalkit and Briarkit, Rockstar went on.* "Dovekit, from this moment until you have received your warrior name, you will be known as Dovepaw and your mentor shall be Spottedstorm." Rockstar glanced at Spottedstorm, who walked towards the excited apprentice and nuzzled noses with her. " Please pass on your knowledge to this young apprentice." *Spottedstorm nodded and led Dovepaw towards the edge of group of OakClan cats.*
"Crystalkit, from this moment on until you receive your warrior name you will be known as Crystalpaw and you mentor shall be Pinefur." *Pinefur padded away from the group and towards the base of the Great Oak, smiling proudly.* "Please pass on your courage and bravery to this young apprentice." Rockstar added to Pinefur. *The apprentice and mentor nuzzled noses and padded over to Dovepaw and Spottedstorm.*
"And last but not least, Briarkit. From this moment on your will be known as Briarpaw and your mentor will be Tigeroak." Tigeroak, who was standing nearby, walked toward his new apprentice and they touched noses. "Tigeroak, please pass on your loyalty to this young apprentice." Tigeroak nodded and replied, "Yes, Rockstar." he bowed towards his leader and led his apprentice over to the others. "You will begin training immediately. You will all go together and follow all of the borders. Please remark the scents on all borders. Hawkthorn and Pebblesong you may take your apprentices,  Brindlepaw and Blizzardpaw out to train and then have them hunt for the elders and queens.  Fuzzyfern I would like you to take over your apprentice, Whitepaw, whom I had to give to another warrior to mentor while you were nursing your kits, on an assessment. Follow him but do not let him know you are there. He must catch as much fresh-kill as possible. Report back to me when you return. You can leave immediately." Rockstar gave a nod of dismissal to the apprentices and and their mentors.
"I would like Speckletail, Crowleaf and Silverpaw to take up the dawn patrol. Please return with some fresh-kill. Nettlebrook, Emberpaw and myself will take up the noon patrol. And Mudpelt can lead a patrol of three or four down to the river to patrol that area at sunset. Whitenose will stand guard at the entrance to the camp until sunset. Leopardpelt shall guard the camp from sunset until dawn. I would like Crowleaf to take his apprentice, Silverpaw out training after the dawn patrol. The rest of you shall make yourselves useful by hunting, caring for the elders or making the camp walls stronger. Today, Dovepaw and Briarpaw will learn how to care for the elders. Spottedstorm shall teach them. Crystalpaw will help the other apprentices gather twigs and materials for making the camp walls stronger. Pinefur, will you teach her how to do that?" Rockstar asked. Pinefur bowed her head and replied, "Yes Rockstar." Rockstar nodded in approval. At somepoint today, I would like Brindlepaw to help Lightpaw collect herbs for Runningclover. Meeting dismissed!" *Rockstar jumped down from the Great Oak with a great leap.*
