Medicine cat's

    "Runningclover, wait up!" *Rockstar bounds across the clearing after the medicine cat. "I think it is time Lightpaw is made a medicine cat. What do you think?" Rockstar stares into the medicine cat's bright eyes. "I think you're right. I was impressed after watching her care for the Clan when you came back from the battle. She shall travel to Highstones to speak with StarClan tomorrow at dawn. Thank you Rockstar!" Runningclover dips her head and pads into her den.*

    *Limps into the medicine cat's den. Lightfrost is mixing herbs near the back of the den and Morningpaw is chewing up some herbs.* Hi Rockstar. *Morningpaw dips her head respectfully when she sees her leader. She spits out the chewed up herbs and gives them to Lightfrost, who mixed them in with other herbs.* What can I do for you? *Lightfrost asks.* I got a thorn in my paw. It's shoved in really deep. *Rockstar replies. Lightfrost motions with her head for Morningpaw to go and examine it. Rockstar hold her paw out while the apprentice medicine cat examines it. She lightly tugs at the thorn but it doesn't come out. Rockstar winces as she pulls harder and harder until the thorn comes out. Blood oozes out of her paw.* Give it a good lick. I'll be right back. *Rockstar begins licking her wound while Morningpaw trots off to the back of the den to share a few words with Lightfrost. She nods and hen Morningpaw disappears around a bend in the rock sandy cave. Morningpaw return a few heartbeats later with a bundle of herbs wrapped with a leaf dangling in her jaws and cobwebs on her paws. She dabs Rockstar's paw with the cobwebs to stop the bleeding.* Here eat these. The leaves are dried oak leaves they will stop infection and the black seeds are poppy seeds for the pain. *Rockstar laps up the foul-tasting leaves and seeds and chews them. Morningpaw dabs more cobwebs on Rockstar's paw and smiles.* you're good to go! If you have any more problems with your paw such as pain or if the bleeding doesn't stop, please come back. *She dips her head respectfully.* thank you Morningpaw, it feels better already. *She lips out of the den.*

    Lightfrost? Morningpaw? *Rockstar limps into the medicine clearing with Tigeroak just behind her. Oakpaw was in the clearing getting treated by Morningpaw. Lightfrost trotted into the clearing.* What's wrong? *she asks, worriedly.* My paw is hurting terribly from that thorn the other day. I'm afraid it's infected. *She held out her left front paw for Lightfrost to see.* Yes. It is infected. That's just what I was afraid of. What's wrong with you, Tigeroak? *She walks over to Tigeroak and examines his wounds.* I'm feeling a lot better today but I'm still in pain. It's mainly the wounds on my flank and shoulder. *The medicine cat examined the scratches and wounds and then disappeared behind a cleft in the rock. She approached a little while later with a leaf dangling from her jaws.* Here, Rockstar. Eat these, you too Tigeroak. They're poppy seeds for the pain. *She pushed two seeds towards Rockstar and two towards Tigeroak. Rockstar lapped up the bitter tasting seeds. She began rubbing a poultice on Rockstar's paw.* This is a poultice of marigold to stop the infection and stinging nettle to bring down the swelling. Okay, you're good to go.* She stepped over to Tigeroak and began rubbing a different poultice on his shoulder and flank.* This is a mixture of marigold to stop infection, goldenrod to heal wounds and stinging nettle to stop infection. *She rubbed the last bit of poultice on his flank and shoulder and then rubber another kind of poultice on his sides and other flank where fur was missing and scratches covered the once-shiny golden fur.* This is a mixture of marigold to stop infection and dock to soothe scratches. *She finished rubbing the green goop on his scratches and then dipped her head and hurried over to Morningpaw.* We are almost out o marigold leaves and dock. Can you please go and get some? *Rockstar heard her ask the apprentice. Morningpaw dipped her head and hurried out of the clearing.*
